How to Create an FTP Account in Plesk Customer Hosting Panel Print

  • 0

Refer to the web hosting package you have with Light Touch Technologies. You will see how many FTP accounts you have available to create. Multiple FTP accounts are useful in a work environment where more than person needs to access the server. Each account is setup with its own login credentials and you can specify what directory the user can access. All other directories would be inaccessible due to permissions setup for the FTP account.

In or to create an FTP account in the Light Touch Technologies Plesk Customer Hosting Panel, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Your Panel (https://lttwebhost.net:8443): Use your Plesk username and password to access the control panel. Contact Support if you need us to resend your logins.
  2. Navigate to Websites & Domains: Click on “Websites & Domains” in the left-hand menu.
  3. Access FTP Settings: Under the “Websites & Domains” tab, find the “FTP” section and click on it.
  4. Add a New FTP Account: Click the “Add FTP Account” button.

Provide Account Details:

  1. FTP Account Name: Enter a username for the FTP account.
  2. Password: Set a secure password for the account.
  3. Home Directory: Specify the directory where the FTP user will have access.
  4. Permissions: Choose the appropriate permissions for the user (read, write, or both).
  5. Save the Account: Click “OK” to create the FTP account.

That’s it! You’ve successfully created an FTP account in Plesk. If you encounter any issues, feel free to ask for further assistance.
